Trio Jenlis

Mathilde (violin), Axel ('cello) and Héloïse de Jenlis (harp) constitute the Jenlis Trio. Thanks to the great harmony of the timbres of the three instruments, as well as the complicity of these three siblings playing together, the Jenlis Trio's concerts offer unique and memorable musical moments. 

 

Their concerts are conceived as a journey from the pre-baroque era until the 20th century. Each work performed is introduced orally by Axel (MPhil in Music Studies from the University of Cambridge (Cantab.)), making the concerts accessible to any listener. The trio has performed extensively in France, Belgium and Ireland.

With their original setting (harp, violin and cello), the Jenlis Trio performs a wide variety of arrangements of popular pieces and largely unknown works, written originally for these three instruments together, such as J. Ibert's trio, Dussek's Sonata for Harp Cello and Violin, H. Renié's trio.
